three girls and a boy

can i just tell you how much i love these kids. they have so much personality!

evelyn kate - so full of life and energy! she is caring and always including others.

the one boy, jackson kelly - the sweetest boy you will ever meet with a smile that will melt your heart. he is always on the move and is already quite the little engineer. 

adalie jane - stubborn, joyful, and a girl who knows what she wants.

miss maren mckinley - she is the happiest baby i have ever met! so easy going and content with life.

the three girls (jackson would have nothing to do with more pictures. typical boy) - i love seeing siblings interact with eachother. melts my heart  <3

can't wait to see these four again!

i took some pictures of my brothers cute little family and used the opportunity to experiment with a little different editing process. it's a combination of photoshop and lightroom, and can i just say that i am in love with the results! definitely different from what i usually do, but i think it may very well become my standard.

last wedding of the summer

it has been a wedding filled summer! this last wedding was for my amazing cousin, sierra! i am so happy for her and jared. they are the best and i miss living close enough to hang out with them. come visit me in logan!

in case you didn't notice, i did not get any pictures of the bride and groom together.... or really any real "wedding" pictures for that matter.

i wish that i could show some of the funny family shots we got, but my computer has been having a few issues, and i'm afraid it's winning this particular battle. never fear, i will win the war!

sara + chris

sara and i go way back. we first met my second semester of college where we were neighbors. i'm pretty sure neither one of us had a very good impression of each other so, although we saw one another often, we rarely spoke and had little to do with each other.

the next semester there was some major miscommunications with the rooming situation and by complete accident sara and i ended up being roommates. we were both nervous about how the semester would play out because we were both so different!

it turned out that living with sara was the best thing that could have ever happened to me! we discovered that we had more in common that we thought and i honestly don't think i could have made it through that semester without her.

five years later she is still one of my dear friends and i was honored to take her engagements for her! i had heard a lot about chris and talked to him on the phone once or twice before, but the photo shoot was the first time i actually got to meet him in person. let me tell you, they are perfect for each other! just see for yourself....
