this is one of my favorite portraits that i've had the opportunity to shoot. i love the distant look in her eyes and the thought that it provokes. such a haunting image.

goodbye winter!

the snow is gone and summer is on it's way (hopefully)! in memory of the "white stuff" here is a picture from christmas time. i love tracks that are left in the snow because they can tell such a fun story! i love imagining what a little bird was doing hopping around in the snow, and wondering why he wasn't smart like the rest of his bird friends and fly to warmer weather for the winter. i know that if i had wings, i would certainly be somewhere much warmer! 

if you haven't noticed yet, i'm not the hugest fan of the cold  :)
