this was hanging in the spori building of the brigham young university - idaho campus last week!
this photograph is called
high dynamic range (hdr). to create it, i set my camera up on a tripod and took three different exposures - the firs underexposed, the second overexposed, and the third as a normal exposure. i then ran it through a program called
photomatix that combines the three images into one. it takes the best qualities from each exposure to create the best overall image. needless to say, i think it's pretty cool and i want this program from christmas!
